The Facility

The horses of Van der Linde Studfarm are spread throughout the island. Depending on their age and level, the horses are either kept with the youngsters or in the Van der Linde family’s sport stable. By keeping these groups at two different locations, the horses always receive sufficient oversight and proper attention. In this way, they can achieve optimal development.

Youngsters

Van der Linde Studfarm has a unique way of raising horses. In their early years, the horses on Texel enjoy endless pastures, tall grass and freedom. In short, they are provided the opportunity to be a true horse. With the primary goal of keeping them mentally and physically healthy, Wim observes the young horses day in and day out to ensure their well being. For example, to prevent club feet, the young horses are regularly moved to pastures with tall grass.

Optimal training

Dressage Stable

The training of the talented horses takes place at the stables located at Eva van der Linde’s home. Both the young and the older sport horses are stabled here and trained to at least the Z2 level. Because competitions up to the Z2 level are held on the island, the Van der Linde team does not have to transport their young horses by boat to give them early competition experience, which makes things very easy!

Services

Van der Linde Studfarm consists of two different locations as it were. On one side of the island are the endless pastures where Wim lets the young horses grow up in peace and freedom. On the other side is Eva’s sport stable, where the horses are trained. The stable, located in Eva’s backyard, is equipped with nice spacious stalls and a fantastic outdoor arena not to mention that the beach is at the end of the street. All these amenities make Texel the ideal location by far to raise horses in peaceful surroundings and train them to become future stars.
